Keep my step bars or go black?

My dad has an 04 FX4 and his step bars are black. he mentioned something the other day about switching, but i'm not sure how it would look. what're your opinions? here's a pic of what i currently have.

i like the monochromatic look of all black trucks w/out chrome trim, but i think the aluminum step bars look a little nicer than the black ones. thoughts?

If it were me I would get the Harley headlights and some black steps. Is the pinstripe painted on?? If not remove that thing while you're at it.

I would put the black set on. Take a look at my truck, it is the same colors as yours but I have the black nerfs.

IMO go black on the nerf bars and keep the stripes. Gives a focal point instead of a giant black panel.

If it would make your decision any easier, I'd be willing to buy the chrome ones from you.

go for the black ones if you don't plan on adding anything else chrome on the truck.

anyone consider line-x for the bars? they'd hold up great offroading.

Yeah, but the bars are weak and will quickly be destroyed long before the Line-x was even scratched. These step rails only mount in 2 places and are hardly sliders
