Was the cause determined for this yet? My brother is having the exact same issues with his right now.

It will not even jumpstart, and he's on his 2nd battery.

Brother just figured it out. Anti-theft system. You need to hit your unlock door to disengage the starter disable feature. That's why it won't even jump start.
