k&N CAI HELP!!

During the past month my truck makes really loud noise when going over 60 mph. The noise is constant and sounds like to much air is coming in the engine compartment. I have narrowed it down to CAI. K&N told me the problem is with the idle air control valve. Any ideas???

Troyer Performance.

I run their tunes with my K&N with no problems. I would call Troyer about it and see if can help you out.

Check the hose clamp at the filter.
Check the MAF sensor seal.
Check the breather hose and fitting.
Check the clamp at the top of the throttle body.

What do you mean too much air in the engine compartment??

I have a K&N Intake 63-2556 Kit and the only noise i have is an annoying Whistle noise when i hit the gas on acceleration and once at highway speed 60-70 i cannot hear it with the radio on.

Are you talking about a whistling noise or something different?

Anyone know how to get rid of the whistle or is just normal for a CAI system??

I checked all clamps and seals and they all are tight. I called Toyer Performance and they said to unplug the battery to clear the computer. That worked for a short amount of time but the noise is still there. It seems like it is worse when it is cold out. Any other suggestions this noise is pissing me off.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!!

There was a thread not long ago about the noise. I think it turned ou tto be an alternator.
