STX seat belt reminder

I just picked up a new 07 STX and the seat belt chime is driving me nuts. How do I get it off? I cannot ever use the search feature correctly.

There is instructions on how to do this in the owners manual. I can't quite remember exactly how to do it.

Did you get a manual with that truck? To disengage the belt minder function you need to turn the key to on (not start) and then wait for the airbag light to go off. Now you need to click and unclick the seatbelt several times (can't remember the exact number) ultimately ending with a final unclicking. Its in the manual under Belt Minder. Let me know if you dont have a manual and I could go out and look it up for you.

Or you could actually wear your seat belts and prevent yourself from getting killed.

Well i will say if your driving around like i was a lot this summer, around the outside of the shop carrying stuff like axels to and fro it was nice to have it turned off so it wasn't constantly beeping at me for not having my belt on.

I agree, it does get quite annoying when your doing quick runs down the street not even a block away...

BUT for longer distances I always wear it!
