Console Mod

I installed a flow through console awhile back but I could not figure out what to do with the hole where the shifter would have gone. So I just filled it in. Found a fiberglass and resin kit at Wal-Mart and used some body filler to smooth it out. Add some duplicolor paint and you get this. What do ya think?

Nice job, I'm wanting to put one of those in my truck in place of the jumpseat. I figure the shifter area would work out to be a nice place to put the CB radio.

Very nice work and finishing on that you did there though.

nice job. i would have made another opening for a cubby of some sort instead of the wasted space. with the cavernous black hole that our consoles are, it's nice to have a splace to put things that are readily picked up. what you did looks really good though.

Here is your gallery. https://www.f150online.com/galleries...y.cfm?gnum=980

The link in your profile is to Rusty Wallace 99L's truck.

Go to User CP - Edit Profile - type in 980 in the bottom box for your gallery.

Nice mod, by the way.

I would have just bought another one and had molded the two together for 4 cupholders. But looks good.

How about some work instructions for the front piece that you made from wood. Looks like it is meant to be there. By the way, How come you didnt convert to console shift?
