lifts and gas milage?

hey guys.. i was just wondering what those with lifts 6 inch or better are getting for gas milage..

i was just reading on car domain at this kids 150, 6 inch procomp, and 3 body, and 37's, and he said he was getting 15 mpg..

thats amazing if so.. (the rest of the truck was stock)

so let me know if you can.. and how you drive.. (you coast from a green light.. or do you drive it like you stole it)...

I doubt he was getting that kind of mpg for stock. I was getting about that with mixed driving and exhaust, intake, and Edge on level3 with 93 octane in my 2004 F150. I was only on 35s, too.

PS: Keep your Stang numb nuts.

I have a 04 f150 with 37 toyos. I have a procomp 6 inch lift with the coils cranked all the way up. I drive my truck pretty hard with mixed driving. I have a superchip and a k&N intake. My average is a pretty constant 13.8 MPG.

idk how your getting 13.8 mpg unless youve got gears. Mine is sucking at 10-11 mpg with 10" lift, 37's, edge, sb intake, and flows. No gears as of yet because i just ordered some deaver leaf packs....

I was getting 13.5-14 mpg in my truck before the gears.

The gears didn't help out gas mileage at all but it's probably the fact that I didn't keep it at 70 mph on the highway.

I think a good rule of thumb is that you will lose 1 mpg for every 3" of lift. I am getting a combined city/highway average of 12.2mpg in my truck. I have a 6" lift, 35" mud tires, and the stock 3.55 gears (for now).
