Neither one, unless you replace the tubing before the stock muffler also and if you are willing to do that get the first one. The exit tubes on the sencond one are WAY to big.

Thanks for the reply lovethetide saved me there i almost bought the second. Who knew that buying a truck exhaust would be so difficult!

I have searched and searched and everyone said yet go with Maggie duals you'll like it but no one can suggest a muffler. And so far every exhaust/muffler that i have almost bought wont work. Sorry if i seem a little frustrated but I am because i have been trying to install an aftermarket exhaust on my truck for the past 2 months and have had nothing but problems.

Could someone recommend me a muffler for duals please? I'd really appreciate it!

You can use the first muffler but you will need to replace the pipe before the muffler also. Which is no big deal.

are you looking for a muffler then going to a muffler shop to have it put on? or are you looking for a full bolt on kit? Cause if you want a custom shop to do it.. run a dual in dual out muffler and have the shop cut the y pipe and run true duals with the di/do muffler.

Yeah I'm looking to buy a muffler to have a local shop do it. I'd run a dual in/dual out but whats needed for that, just buy the muffler and then they will know what to do?

I sure hope they know what to do with it, and if they don't go somewhere else.

I would just go to a muffler shop and tell them what you want (what sized tips, where they come out, what size tubing, etc.) and let them go at it.

Well thats what i was going to do but he only sells Flowmaster 40 series and i dont want that because i really dont want a drone on the highway. He told me if i didnt want a Flowmaster bring him the muffler and tips that i want and he will do the rest.

That sucks.

Are you looking for the most HP possible or a better sound?

uhh well both would be cool but if i had to decide it would be sound. But I'm real serious about not having the LOUD highway drone, i know there will be some but i have read some respones on here of how they have loud highway drone which if i have read correctly it seems to be a lot with flowmaster and particularly the 40series which go figure is all this local shop sells.

True duals with magnaflow mufflers and 2.5" tubing would be your best bet for maximum HP.
