As mentioned....an exhaust shop will be able to make it work with minimal issues, that's what they do.

One other quick test might be to jack up the truck and just place the exaust on the garage/driveway to see where it all routes.

That should tell you right away what you need to shorten up.

Maybe. If he has to shorten or re-bend the exuast pipes up past the muffler, he'll need a shop with a mandrel bender to do the trick. Good luck finding one of these in town.

If he has to cut the cat side of the exhaust system, that will most likely require a pipe cutter and a welder, so that's easy.

I believe the only difference in the system is the length of the pipe running from the stock y pipe connection to the muffler. It is a super easy fix just cut the pipe and spread it a little so that it will slip over the stock 2.5" pipe. Easy fix and any exhaust shop should make quick work of it

EDIT: From your pic they would cut before the muffler and shorten it there IMO

The pic looks like the one for the short bed, not the one you most likely have. The pipe in question is circled:

Note that this kit in the pic actually has TWO bends in pipe before the muffler. Just make sure your muffler shop has enough pipe to work with. Otherwise they'll have to bend you a new pipe. This will choke your exhaust if they don't have a special mandrel bender.

A mandrel bender uses a cast and ball to bend pipes without kinking them. This is a $40,000 machine (something Borla and Magnaflow have), so your shop will most likely not have one. It would defeat the purpose of having a free-flowing exhaust if you decide to go the compression route.

If you're having it installed, I'm sure the shop can cut out whatever is needed to make it fit.
Interesting...

Didn't I just say, like the rest of the posts, including yours, state that the exhaust shop will make it fit?!

If they can extend it, they can cut it too. Not a big deal which way I was going.

Besides, if the shop you are going to is a good one, they will have a mandrel bender.

I doubt the dude im going to has a mandrel bender because the shop is at his house, its a small shop, and thats not his full time job, he just knows what hes doing..
