2007 Transmission

This might already be posted but I couldn't seem to find anything on it. I've my 2007 Lariat SCREW for a year now and from new there seems to be some hesitation when the truck downshifts to speed up from around the 50 to 70 km/hr mark. There also seems to be a slight hesitation when taking off from a stand still. I know the feed from the peddle is electronic and the computer has to figure things out, but this seems like too much. They just did a calibration on the PCM and the problem is still there and now I don't have cruise. Is the tranmission lag normal? Is the only fix a programmer?

trans concern

If you have a problem and you no longer have cruise control after the reflash than there is definately something wrong and needs to be fixeed seen some valves sticking due to pieces of snap ring logged in the valve body but other than that is your brake light on all the time

If all else is well that get the tuner will probibly fix it lag sucks!:santa:

Why are you assuming it's the transmission?

I think it's something with the computer, but that same computer controls shift points doesn't it? The dealer initially claimed that they had a new program for the 2007 F150's that was supposed to reduce emmissions. In the end the truck feels sluggish and the transmission seems to search for a proper gear when down shifting at the 30 to 40 MPH speed when I try to accelerate. I had a 2004 and the only issue I had was the delay from the electronic throttle when starting from a stop.

If that doesnt fix the problem then go with a edge tuner, it shows every tach at the current moment of what your engine is doing ect...

I never had this issue with my transmission but when I put thr edge on it made shifting alot more firmer, just some helpful words for you.

I'd take it back, the fact your cruise isn't working is a problem in itself. Tell them to reflash it again and fix the cruise problem. If you want to get a tuner and see what happens, I recommend Justin at VMPTuning.com

If you want driveability, which it seems like he does, do not get the EDGE! Btw, can you make that sig a little smaller? Geez.

I brought my truck in for that TSB bulletin that I had received in the mail from FoMoCo! The dealer stated that it was for emmisions, after they did the update, I think that my truck does not feel as crisp on shifting than before the TSB update...........
