Venting: Lift Frustrations...

just need to vent a little everyone....I came to DFW to have the lift put on and it seems everything has gone wrong...

First off when I dropped it off Monday there was a problem with the truck scheduled ahead of mine, which in turn pushed mine back. The install aparently went smooth, except for a small rattle up front. The aal wasnt up to level either so they are going to get that changed out as well. I also had a bad drivers side hub, which had to be replaced, and the seal was bad on the passenger side. the biggest problem came after alignment (even though aligment aparently was a problem giver for them) when whoever did the alignment backed it into a car behind him putting a nice ding in the corner of the bed, so that further pushed it back...now the possibility of getting it back on last thursday has been moved to wednesday after christmas....kinda frustrating, but probably not the worst that could have happend...

I can say that Mike's offroad in Haltom city has completely taken care of me, and even though there where a few mix/mess ups they have taken great care of us. Id have to highly recommend them for their customer service, everyone is freindly, and the techs really know their stuff. I also have been dropping in periodically on the install and repair of the damage and they have done top notch work, and have been great on keeping the updates flowing. Should also have some great pics to share since they where taking pictures of the whole tear down/ reinstall for me. I can say that this afternoon w/ the stocker's and 305's it had about an inch between it and the top of their paint booth...

anyways..feels better to get that off my chest, just kinda frustrating..

Sorry to hear that. I had a few things happen to me also when they were instaling my level kit awhile back. I also just puchased a Kenwood dnx7100 that was defective from the factory that is getting sent back too.

I guess it is the price you pay to make your truck unique.

yeah nothing these days goes according to the schedule well i give them credit for telling you what was in need of repair when it was apart. i've had things worked on in the past and after they put it all back together to they tell me something is worn out or needs replacement. guess it was too much work to pickup the telephone. at least their making it right. cant wait to see that hog

Will you be on the east side of Fort Worth after the lift is installed at all? Specifically off hulen or camp bowie?

To tell you the truth I get all confused with all the highways so let me get a map real quick, but I have been to Mike's several times. The area I will be at is near off 30 by the Botanic Gardens and of course the stock shows/yards are right around the corner.

Yeah it's always good to keep in contact with them so they KNOW you care. Just make sure you don't do it too much or you'll annoy them. Just my 2 cents..
