what is this under the driver seat??

what is this under the driver seat??

So I was cleaning my truck today and saw this. It looks like a sensor or something. Ive been trying to figure it out.

It is the driver's seat position sensor. It is one of the many inputs to the airbag control unit to help it safely determine how fast to deploy the airbag. Meaning if the seat is very close to the steering wheel you would want a softer airbag deployment.
