Weight in the back of my 2wd for snowy roads...
I've seen this before somewhere, but for some reason I can't seem to find it in search.
I have a 2wd 04 xlt supercab
I put some salt in the back, but what is the ideal weight?
Any ideas?
Thanks

200# should be enough with a set of good snow tires.
I recommend 18" square patio stones. They still leave a flat area in the back for hauling. They never tear, rip, freeze or do anything else to leak.
They are also less likely to go airborne in a colliision

I would always just fill the bed with snow...
Just shovel the driveway into the bed of my truck. Not sure how much it weights but I am sure it is a couple hundred pounds and definitely helped when driving around in 2wd.
