Underdrive pulleys

The e-mail on here doesn't work sometimes but I will take your pulleys. e-mail me wakebrder32@aol.com

Gerrod...I'm very interested in these pulleys but last time I tried PM'ing you your mailbox was full. Can you check on this please or send me a PM? Thanks.
Can anyone actually verify that UD Pulleys are even worth it on these trucks?
I added a set to my 1999 Mustang GT and the difference was not really even noticable (I can't say on the MPG though as I never paid attention to that in this car - you don't buy a sports car for MPG).
Now as far as the MPG claims for these pulleys on the 5.4 3V, I find that the 2-3 MPG increase a bit far fetched.

i would think that the MPG gains from efans would be greater than U/D pullies.

I have the Troyer Waterpump under drive pulley. I did feel some improvement in power once it was on. But I took it off and now run E-fans. Much of the pulleys improvement relates to the drag from the mechanically driven fan (and with e-fans, you remove the mechanical fan).
Now the issues: 1) You need to grind off a pulley boss (bolt nipple) to put on the pulley. I burned out a Dremel trying to gring the aluminum block (the Dremel started smoking big time and died a hard death). After that I used a big Bosch die grinder with no issues - if you have a pneumatic then you will be fine. 2) My truck overheated in Summer rush hour traffic in Detroit with this pulley on, so I took it off.
One interesting note - the 2004 5.4 3V uses a slightly smaller fan/waterpump pulley than the 2005 and later. So, if you have a 2004, you can get a small underdrive effect just by getting the larger stock pulley (it's actually the same pulley for the 1997-2003 and the 2005 and later 5.4). Likewise, if you have a non-2004 5.4 and are running hot, you can put the 2004 pulley on to get a small boost in waterpump/fan speed.
