Talk about diggin up an old thread. I just purchased the same Daystar bar you have. I am going to try to get it to fit on my 06 and it seem that I am running into the same fitment issue you had. I guess what I am trying to ask is if you have any pics or if you could just give me an idea of how much you actually had to trim off. I took a look at your pics but still dont have a reallly good idea. Amazing truck by the way. I can't belive how much you have doen to that truck so quickly.

As far as I know they don't make them for 06-08 I had to "put the attachment bars on a diet". Not to bad, I picked up mine on ebay for $57.00.

You have to trim about 2.5 inches off of the bracket to and drill a couple of new mounting holes make it fit on a 06-08. It only took about 30 minutes to modify and mount.

I didn't drill new holes. I used the existing top holes and trimmed the brack just about .5" below them to fit my truck. I then made a rounded cut to the brackets to get them to fit in the bumper location with a nice clean look. Then shot some black paint on the cuts and let it roll. The entire mod took about 20 minutes to do with a sawzaw.

The lightbar is for 04-05 trucks.

Front Light Bar

I know this is an old post, but as far as the light bars for the front. I went with Randy Ellis Design. I have one of the light bars mounted at the front and flushed with the groove of where you can have access to the hood latch and it fits perfect, direct bolt-on.
