Black wheels might look good on a red truck. I was torn between black chrome or just chrome wheels. I ended up with chrome just my 2 cents.

i agree, black and red is the way to go...same with me...all black and red, as soon as these wheels are gone one day he chrome will be done with! Nice looking truck. Gotta love that red! Are you planning on doing any other exterior or interior mods?

Reality check:

If those dorks @ 4Wheel Perf actually thought you had 30" stock, on a new FX4, makes you wonder if they have ever done any. I wouldn't trust them to do wheels on my snowblower now.

Secondly - what are you planning to do about the self-inflicted speedo/odo error and skewed shift points?

Another vote for black wheels. I am selling my current 20's and going with these soon!

I have 2.5 AS in front. These are 325/60/18 (33x13) on a 18x9 inch rim with 4.5 backspacing.

I say you should get a leveling kit, and give the black wheels a shot. They should look good, and go with a 33" tire.

I see you said you don't want to modify for rubbing. I have to a little, but its VERY easy and WELL worth it. Just some slight trimming of plastic. just MHO

I went with 305/55/22's on my truck and according to my GPS my speedo is spot on. And my shift points are still spot on too. I am thinking of doing the HID kit and lower shackles if I ever get the motor fixed.

Want to explain how that's possible?

According to this: http://www.net-comber.com/tirecalc.html ,

a 305/55/22 is a 35" diameter combo. Given stock is approx 32", your speedo should be off some.

Looking at your pic, it does not look like a 55 aspect ratio to me .....

Here's what I bought.....

I ordered these rims today - going to take 2 weeks for them to arrive.
Thanks for all the 'advice' and pictures........
I am getting the 2 1/2" leveling kit, XD778 Monster Matte - Black
rims and 33" Pro-Comp's

I will post some pictures when it is completed. Oh, and I will be taking it to the dealership to get the PCM flashed for the bigger tires when completed.

Those are awesome wheels! What size wheels did you go with?

Thanks!

I ended up getting 18" wheels - same as stock. I was able to keep the offset exactly the same as the stock ones. I will have the tire pressure sensors 'banded' to these new ones, then the 33" tires put on. Doing a full allignment & leveling kit. I want to do it right - and done right. Yanno?

I know I didn't go with the 'huge' tires, like some of you did (which look great, btw) because I don't want to have to make any body modifications (or have to lift it any more) right now But, that is just me

It will look great...you'll be glad you did it the right way and waited for the wheels that you wanted!
