Where are all the 2008's?

I have been hitting the lots and doing some searches on the Ford website, and the quantity of 2008 F-150's here in the Illinois area is squat. The 2007's were slim when they made them, too. I'm looking at dealers that used to have 20 trucks minimum on the lots at any given time. Now, there are three of four, and most are Supercabs. Is this the car market going slow and dealers are ordering less, or am I wishful thinking that the dealers don't want many 2008's on the lots because the 2009's are coming out earlier than expected? I will be ready to move on to the next rig in about Marh-April 2008, and if the 2009's are close to being released or ordered, I may hold out and be a gineau pig for everybody!

Wow, I was about to ask the EXACT same thing. Sig has red F250, gallery has a picture of a blue F250, but his profile shows an F150. I am so confused.

I see a few 2008 Super Duty's every once and a while. I wouldnt say they're scarce but I see more F150's than 250's. I took a trip down to Kansas City last weekend and I saw more than 100 driving on the way down. I live close to Chicago so thats probably why I dont see that many.

supply and demand my friend, its just how it goes, if you looked at the #s you would probably find more 04's and 05's produced and sold than 06 07 and 08, that's kinda how it goes in the car making business, you hope your first year run sells big then after that production and sales will drop every year unless you add new options or something

my dealership has all of their 08's sitting on the side of the lot. all of the 07's are sitting on the front row with huge "buy me" stickers

they've got at least 5 08 supercrews alone...so I'm guessing it's just your dealerships are just waiting for more

I updated the gallery, or at least I thought, a couple of weeks ago. I guess not. I had trouble then. Anyway, I currently have a 2007 F-250, the dark toreador red over silver one in my signature. I need to reorganize the "past" trucks, which are the 2005 and 2007 black F-150's, and the 2004 and 2006 F-250 Superduties. Sorry for the confusion. I didn't thin anybody really looked at those anyway.

I would guess many dealers are being more conservative with their ordering due to the price of gas and the economy. If sales are down, they will keep the inventory down in attempt to balance stock to sales. It costs alot money to have inventory sit on the lot.

There are PLENTY of 2008 F150's at the dealership right next to my house in North Aurora, IL :

Fox Valley Ford, right off the Orchard Road exit on I-88.

They even have a Limited with the 22's!
