I was quoted $750 parts and labor going from 3.55's to 4.10's. You can buy cheaper gears and most shops will install any gears you bring them if you provide the parts, but I was told by a couple of shops that they will only warranty parts they sell. I was also told that Yukon gears are the best you can buy and that was quoted from 2 of the 3 shops.

Weird! I'm dropping off my truck to get 4.10's tomorrow as well. I'm running OEM 20's though on stock rubber and mine's 2wd. I'm hoping for a nice performance increase.

I'm getting it done for $804 out the door.

4.10s are nice middle of the pack gears for all around performance. Not much impact on gas mileage with my 32" tires. Got my 2WD done for about $650, however, that was about a year ago.
