When I opened the UPS box, I saw the shocks with the part number one digit off and there were only two preload points on them. So I called the vendor I bought the stuff from.

He told me that RCD worked with Bilstein during the R&D of the shock. The part number on the box was a RCD part number. Hence the RCD sticker.

Wierd, mine didn't have any RCD sticker.

I know RCD does have their own Bilsteins for their 4.5"/6" lift kit though ..

I got mine off ebay for $350 and there is an RCD sticker too. The part number on the box goes not match Bilstein's website but these are the ones that lift the front two inches.

Make shure you have a good compressor i used the ones from autozone and the all threads started bending so i had to have two sets of compressors to get the spring compressed to the two inch mark.

so this is an alternative to the autospring?

would they work in conjunction with a suspension lift down the line to give you a bit more height or is shock travel an issue?

Yes it is.

They would work. Shock travel isn't an issue. The a-arms bind on the huge stock coil spring before you top/bottom them out.

thanks. for some reason, i like being able to adjust height via the coil over instead of using a spacer.

I just put an AS kit on a couple of months ago. But now I thinking I'm going to get these. It seems that the back end wants to hop around more since I put a higher load range tire on. I'm hoping the Bilstein help out a little.
