8" Lift? Coilovers?

Im looking to upgrade my suspension. I have the regular 6" fabtech lift with a 2.5" daystar. I am wondering if coilovers (specifically sway-a-way) will replace what I have now and still give me the ~8" i need to nicely clear my 37s. Anyone have a setup like this or any comments?

fox coilovers for the CST 8" lift??

will those give the same hieght as the sway a ways?

i dont see why not.

i could be wrong though.

im just not two sure about cv angles

Any coilover for a 6" inch lift will work. Best bet would be to go with DL's, Donahoe's or SAW and crank them up. Your cv angles shouldn't be any worse they are now with the 2.5" spacer. Or you could shell out tons of green like Thump and get Kings.

Down in the suspension forum there is a thread that you need to check out. Someone actually posted the part numbers for the Sway-A-Ways that you need.

PS: Do not get the Fox's.

whats wrong with sway a ways? arnt they adjustable?

I am looking for the same height Ihave not oreven a half an inch or a full inch shorter to level out my truck. I am just making sure these will work

I didn't see anyone say anything is wrong with the SAWs. They're good.

ok I think i figured it out. They are adjustable and they should be similar to the DLs and foxs and all that. So I should be able to crank them and get around the same height I have now right? Does cranking them change the ride quality?

I would think it makes alittle stiffer although not to sure.

I have a question though, does cranked coilovers affect the cv angles?

Of course... + ball-joints (UCA) and tie-end rods.

Hey Dave, how much are the sway a ways?
