How many miles til the Stock General Ameritrac TR's wear out?

Does anybody know how long does it take until the stock General Ameritrac TR's wear out? I got 11,400mi on them now, & they look like new. I can't wait to replace these skinny things...........

Got 45,000 out of mine so that was ok for a not too good average tire

I put about 28K on mine I would say they had about 1/2 to 1/3 tread left. Your probably looking at 40-45k miles.

I made it <1,000 miles on 1 set (98 F-150 4x4). They started chunking the 1st time I ever went 4x4.

You should get ~30k or better if you only see street use. They fall apart when you actually do some decent 4x4

Too dam long, that's how long they last. Mine have 24k and look like new...they look too good to convince the wife to drop the $$ for a new set of BFG's!

Start doing smoke shows, thats what my salesman told me.lol I tried like hell to get them to swap them out. He wouldnt budge. I couldnt stand the way my truck looked with clad wheels and the small Ameri-trec tires. Thank god my wife understood how much I hated my stock set up.

I had 16k on mine when I got rid of them. They were still in great shape and I even got a trade-in on them. $30 each.

I was hard on mine, doing my share of power braking, quick cornering and peeling out from lights. They still lasted 35k, pretty good considering I rotated them all of 3 times. My new tires and rims I baby because I actully like them, hope to get 50k from them. Considering the weight of the 150 is it suprising how easy the truck is on tires

I've got about 9k on my Hankooks and they are going down rapidly... but evenly... which is good.

However, from the current vantage point on my sustained treadwear, it looks like I'll be buying new radials by 30k.

I don't know if that is good or bad... but I've seen tires last only 20k... yet I had a set of Goodyear Conquests that were only '99 F150 which lasted about 50k miles... those were decent... but I noticed after about 40k I had a lot of problems on the white lines when they were wet... and that was without much of a "hard" acceleration.

I always keep my tires inflated to the recommended inflation pressure. I always check them every week or so... and adjust the pressure accordingly. Probably overkill, but I want my rig to last... and to keep my tires to last.

But, we'll see... I'll just keep driving around and see when they decide not to pass NYS inspection.

I have 23,000 on mine and they look to be maybe 1/3 worn out. And for some reason, they are as smooth as glass.
