Well they have pulled the valve covers and found the cams to be damaged and grooved. Whatever that means. I am very concerned with what additional damage could lie in the lower part of the motor. Ford originally pulled the valve cover and ordered new rocker arms and adjusters. So if they have to replace the heads what else should I be worried about?

no, it has been a problem with the 5.4 since introduction

just like the spark plug thing, they refuse to fix it

it happens on the 4.6 too, but its not as noticable
