Paint Scheme idea. Opinions?

I have had a 2 tone paint scheme running around in my head since I bought my truck, I finally got around to mocking it up in the GIMP. Tell me what you think...

BTW, I was being VERY lazy when I did this, the image quality is NO REFLECTION on the ability of The GIMP. Just me hurrying through a task.

Possibly. The look I am going for is sort of an inverted Eddie Bauer theme...

Okay how about this slight rework...

The first idea...

Of this next one, I paint the brush guard, grille, and nerf bars to match the secondary color as well.

Just too much going on for my taste. I saw a truck with a similar paint scheme not long ago(minus the grille guard). It was creme and brown. I looked at it pretty closely, just not what I like.

Yeah, just trying to figure it out. I am thinking about maybe doing the whole grille surround in the charcoal beige, and then the grille insert in Arizona Beige ALA the King Ranch... Leave the tubular stuff black...

Two thumbs down, IMO. It's just too busy and pretty far from the 'Eddie Bauer' type of look.... just my opinion, though. It's your truck! Not mine!

I agree on the nerfs and brush guard.

I know doing a simple color overlay doesn't give a really good idea of what it will really look like. But...

I still am not crazy about it, but I am liking it more...

The idea of a monotone is there as well. Use the Charcoal Beige for pnistriping only as a very minor accent...

I really ought to get my hands on those EGR flares first. I bet it would look really good with a set of those paint matched, and some Buckshots...

if you paint the hood i would paint the roof the same color...would bring it up to the top more....another thing that may look cool is painting your roof black like they do on the euro cars....i know we are in the US and this is a truck but it may look cool....

I don't think I would paint the hood... that may be where it gets "too busy."

Mad props for using The Gimp.

ok i looked at it again....dont paint the nerf bars or the bar...get a roush scoop and paint it and the hood but take off the bug shield and leave your grille black but paint the surround the same color as the hood... and the paint the lowers...personally i think that would look sweet
