i think the full would look a lot cleaner than one keeping the handle.

smok][n - I'm running into the same problem you are, with the light being inconsistent behind the gauges. other than that, it looks real good.

I agree, full would look sweeter, but I am fat and have a lifted truck... so using the handle to lift my **** up and in is just too handy to get rid of.

Dribone: You know of another nice, clean guage pods I could go with.

I have a 2007 fx2, do you think they would fit it or is there another type of pod i can go with. I like the pillar style. And another question I have being that I have never done it is the Aoutmeter guages, how do you wire them. I just like um for the looks. Maybe air/fuel, Volts, and Trans etc. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

that pillar pod should fit, they say for up to 2008.

depends on if you get mechanical or wired gauges. for the trans you may have to fit a sending unit on the transmission, volts you'd just run wire, air/fuel i couldn't tell ya.

i just run gauges for psi

Nice gauges, Smok][n! Trans temp and boost gauges are a good combo.

Where'd you get the overlay from? From what I could find, US Speedo didn't offer an overlay for the XLT's....
And, how much was it?

Do the XLT overlays just cover the area around the gauges or do they go over the entire cluster?

I didn't realize until I drove my dad's 2006 the other day that the 2007 XLT cluster is a little different (they added this really stupid looking gray accent). I'm imagining the overlays just come as individual pieces for each gauge...
