i think it looks pretty good
i painted some of my dash pieces some time ago (i cant remember when exactly, maybe a year or so ago) and they are holding up really well. sure they are more prone to scratching, but mine have a fairly tough finish. mine havent been damaged yet, and im pretty rough on my interior

i did not have the wood finish to start with so maybe thats why. i had the plain jane XLT plastic which i sanded a bit and just painted.
