I'm not kidding! 3 ft metal pipe! granted it doesn't need to be that long but it gets the job done and i'm to lazy to cut it down.(xbox will do that to you)

I do lube the seal and try not to put it on so tight. Its damn hard to push down on the wrench to get it off and real easy to pull up to tighten it.

5000k is fine but i would do the first at 3500 to be safe, then 5000-7500 after the first.
The dealer is sometimes no better then the factory, I spent 45mins to a hour on my last oil change the dealer did.. Have the dealer do it everyother time for records (if u do it urself n blow ur motor Ford wont cover you)
Taking the oil filter off is a pain in the *** unless you put oil on the seal befor you install, and you tighing it by hand not with the tool (least thats how I do it and havent had a problem in 4 years of doing it myself)

Yup! Best mod I've done. I have a 4x, so, because of the skid plate, I'd pull the air filter duct to access the oil filter. Then the oil would run off the backside of the framemember, and all over the skidplate. Then through the various skidplate holes onto the driveway. I had to use scrap carpeting on the driveway because I never knew which way the oil would go.
Mounted the filter where my '97 had it (before Ford got cheaper) in front of the driver side front wheel. Changing my oil is 10 times easier, and I don't spill a drop.

Keep all your receipts and a log book to document date and mileage of oil and filter changes and Ford WILL cover the warranty should you blow the motor up and NOT modify the motor…
