Power Mirrors

how hard would it be to hook up power mirrors on a 2006 stx with the manual mirrors. i dont really want the power folding feature just the power adjusting. Is the wiring already there or would i have to run all new wiring.

The wiring may already be there. I just upgraded my mirrors from the power to the power w/turn signal and it just plugged right in. Only takes about 20 min to get the door apart and look. Here are directions.

Take a look and see if the plug is already run to it.

I am pretty sure the wiring is there for XLT and above. The XL needs a wiring package. I remember seeing that somewhere.

mirror

The only thing i have done on my brothers 05 stx , i changed out the paddle mirrors for the lariat mirrors, but only hooked up the signals, there was no wire harnes in that truck, so we tapped in under the steering column for the signals, and tapped into the wiring harness on the mirror itself.

When I upgraded to signal power mirrors, my truck was only wired for the power mirror. I had to use the Muth instructions to wire in the signal. I still have the original power mirrors. If interested, drop me a message. One needs a new glass.
