Anyone ever try Sound Deadening?

I am looking to upgrade my stereo system with a DVD player and screens in the back. I was thinking while pulling the door panels off I could throw some deadening material in there. Mostly because of the Roush Offroad exhaust.

IS it possible to quiet down the in cabin noise of the exhaust with deadening material so the back passengers dont get a drone
