I get them in mine too Their not coming out of my dash though. I just get one flying around the inside of my windshield most of the time.

this would probably actually work... if you think there are so many back there that perhaps they are breeding, a bug bomb should kill them. Just vacuum out the truck afterward and wipe down the hard surfaces and it should be fine.

One issue would be that the space of the truck is way smaller than what the bug bombs are designed to fill. You might want to leave the windows slightly cracked so some can escape.

And in case you didn't see the myth busters episode... bug bombs are explosive in confined spaces. The gas they use to expel the stuff is flammable in high concentrations. So keep all sparks away (you might want to unhook the battery to be safe).

yea that episode was awesome. Ill wait on that. My friend was telling me that the ac line might be growing mold for the gnats too feed on. Any truth in this

gnats in the dash is a lot better than ants in the pants! So, could be worse!

I HATE when I get bugs in my truck.. I won't even leave the windows cracked when it's parked outside on a hot day.

For a while I had noticed spider webs on my truck almost every time I came back to it (end of the day at work, morning before, after a movie) .. so I'm convinced the little bugger was living somewhere on my vehicle. Just for grins one day I stuck a water hose to the driver's side mirror and out he came!

I'd love to find a way to have Orkin or some other company treat your vehicle for bugs like your house!

Thats funny. I was driving down the highway just yesterday when I got a phone call. I just answered my cell when all of the sudden my fiance starts screaming and jumping all through the front of the truck. I could hardly hear the person on the phone cuz she was yelling so much. By the time I got off the phone, she had calmed down, so I asked her what the **** that was all about. She claimed that she was attacked by some killer spider that came from the ceiling and that I didn't save her from the vicious beast. I would hate to see what she would do if a swarm of gnats came out of the dash... LOL

odd... I have the occasional gnat as well. they fly about up against my windshield. I never leave my windows open if i'm away from the truck so I have no idea where they come from?! The Ford plant must have been infested

I would get myself a can of bug spray and shoot a bunch up underneith the dash, and pull off the trim peice around the radio an spray in there too.

Might smell like shat for a week or so, but its better than a herd of knats living in your truck.

Not to hijack the thread, but I may have you beat. How about chiggers coming out the air vents?

Me and my buddy are driving from memphis to cincinnati to go back to school. Next thing we know, these little red b**t*rds are coming out of everywhere. Not to mention when you squish them they leave red stains on the dash. That was a crappy drive.....
