Black box on rear wall keeps making clicking sound

Since i installed my subs and amp, the black box on the rear wall of my screw has made a clicking sound. It drains the battery. Help! Update: i messed around with it. there are two clips coming out bottom. if even one is removed it stops clipping. if i stick the key in and turn to on position, clicking stops but car wont even attempts to start or show signs of battery life.

no its like the factory alarm box i think. it is on the driver side closest to door. it stops the car from working at all if unplugged.

Probably the Vehicle Security Module if it is on the rear wall of the cab on the driver's side.

Why wouldnt you just unhook the system and rewire it "correctly"? I assume something you hooked up is making it click. Not to be a d###, Ive done some goofy s### myself and when i pulled it apart I was asking myself WTF was I thinking.

How did you install the subs and amp??? Do you have a stock HU? Was there a factory system in it?

I just went through something similar, althought i didn't have a sound system wired up. You have a draw somewhere within your wiring.

The ticking issue: What I'm guessing is happening is that the the battery is quickly going dead and when it hits the where it drops below the required voltage and can't supply enough power to keep a the realy of the VSM in the closed position, the relay opens and you hear a click. But then when it closes, there's a minor surge of power so it causes the relay to close again and you hear another click. This is happening over and over... eventually it will slow down and stop when the battery gets low enough.

To solve the problem I put a toggle switch in and only have it on when I am running the truck.
