What about a reg cab with a 4' bed with a nice short wheel base, with the 5.4l with a nice supercharger. I betcha with all the weight gone, you could pull some pretty impressive numbers for a truck.

I apologize, and stand corrected. I had never heard of such a beast till now. I did do some searching on some used vehicle websites (nada and edmunds) and they didn't list it. And I must have missed it on the ford build your truck site.

The newer HD models are 8200 GVR as opposed to the prior gen's 7700 GVR. They look really good in white, too. They are easily the best looking of the F150's, IMHO. The proportions are just perfect looking (extra cab + 8' bed, 4x4).

Correct. I had a '97 LD-250 reg cab 4X4 as an 8200 package. I miss that truck, but needed the room. The one thing that I always wanted for the truck was good quality 7-lug aftermarket wheels, but there were only one or two options at the time.

they also used the 7 lug bolt pattern on some late 90's / early 2000's E250 van's and even some long wheelbase E150 van's

In fact, Ford did make some somewhat decent looking aluminum wheels for the E-Series van's and Club Wagons that I am pretty sure would bolt up to the F150 as well

This bolt pattern was much more widely used on the vans than on the trucks, although I am pretty sure they dont use it on the vans at all anymore, E250's have the 8 bolt pattern like they used to

My dads neighbor has a 2003 F150 7700lb Scab with a short bed. He has a aftermarket set of wheels and a small lift. Yes it is a 7 lug.

My uncle had a 1997 F250(1/2ton body style), I believe it had 7-lug aftermarket wheels on it. They were American Racing wheels if I remember right. Good looking trucks guys. That length on a 4x4 looks really good.
