It's a sad, sad day.

Today is official worst day ever.. Traded in my F150 for a car.

My commute has doubled over the last few months to nearly 120 miles a day. As some of you with a commute are aware, this gets expensive as I'm spending ~200 a week on gas alone..

I'm depressed, but life moves on. I won't be going anywhere. I love F150's and I loved my truck, and love this site - so I'll be around.

Side note - I took a lot off/out of my truck, so if your interested in my shiznit, hit me up via PM!

That's too bad. I love my 5.4 liter commuter vehicle, only 50 miles a day though. Good luck, SSpiro.

Yes, they were extremely similar... :sniff:

My wife got a new Jetta.. I took over her turbo Passat. Fun car, but.. I'm not a @#$%ing car guy... ..however the 38mpg on the highway will be nice.

With this change, I'll be saving over $150 on payment, and $300 or so on gas. Monthy..

At least you are driving a diesel. If you drive a diesel car, you are cool. Just pretend you are driving a F250 with a PS.

Sorry to hear that you got rid of the truck. But those new Jettas sure are nice!! For a small car the fit and finish is second to none. We are going to be getting a VW Jetta TDI this coming spring. Although we won't be getting rid of either truck, our 05 Focus will be leaving.

To be honest, the only 2 average cars I would ever want to own would be a Jetta TDI or a Mercedes Diesel of some sort.

As far as sports cars... gasser only please.

I am lucky my wife loves the truck so much that I got to keep it and get a third car as a commuter. When my travels area grew to include not only Virgina, but went into West Virginia, and Maryland. I stayed in the ford family and picke dup a 2001 Focus w/25,000 miles on it.. I am a lucky lucky man.

Heck, my parents drive a Jeep Compass getting 32 city and about 35 highway (when they drive it... lol) They let me take it on the weekend, so I park my F150 in the garage and take that when I'm hanging out. Or if I need to go someplace far, I'll take that. No big deal.

As far as my trucks, I'm getting about 20 mpg on my F150, and about 23 mpg on my Dakota. Which is nothing to complain about... especially when I hear some people complaining about 13 mpg...
