LED replacements

Has anyone on here tried to replace there bulbs (cruise control, steering wheel mounted a/c and audio, door locks and windows, lariat style a/c controls on the dash) with blue colored LEDS? I have the us speedo gauges and my alpine head unit all light up blue but everything else is green. anybody try to do this? is it very involved? pics please

Yes someone did do a write-up on it actually. I can't remember his exact name but it begins with a "Z" I believe. Do a search and it should be one of the first ones. I know because I found it the other day.

so all I have to do is just replace the green leds with blue leds? Any resistors needed? anyone on here attempt to do this to the auto ac controls yet? how do I get to the cruise control?

The way I did my window switches was with single leds and resistors, but if you just use the SMT leds on the circuit board that is in there you won't need resistors. That is is what I did with the rest of the lights in the A/C contols. For the cruise control you have to take the steering wheel off and then remove the controls from the steeering wheel (thread on here somewhere, just search) then get the leds and solder them up. Can't really help you with the lariat A/C as I have an XLT, but just open the stuff up and see how its illuminated and figure out the best way to change it.

Surface Mount.

These are the ones I used. I think they might be too big fot the window switches but you can find smaller ones.
