I would say thats your fault..not Fords. You hit the skid plate on something, and it protected the bottom of your truck from damage..technically thats not a parts failure. Thats like hitting a tree with the front of your truck then blaming Ford when it makes noise and the bumper is damaged..Just my two cents.
Its a shame you can't just yank that DPF out of there. I am sure you would feel a big power increase. Emissions just keeps getting worse and worse. Even 18-Wheelers have a DPF type filter now.
