LED tails

ok, I told you guys that the first thing I was doing was getting an intake
( which I think will be the 3" S & B from what everyone is saying on here), an edge, and exhaust. but I was wondering if any of you have the black/smoke LED tails. I have to do something to the outside of this truck, its just too stock looking. I love the dark headlights, but I want tails that match them. Any you guys had any luck with the ones off ebay?

These are a lot more, but TYC's are guranteed to fit and work good.

Just a little advice. Which ever one you end up with make sure you seal them up a little better just incase they are leakers....

Here is a picture of the black Depo LED tails on a black truck with a smoked red LED 3rd lamp. No leaks only probaly I have is the cruise control but all you need for that is a load resistor

Also the stock tails with a smoke kit are nice but dim

Does every truck have a problem with the cruise control with LED lights? I like the first set you showed and may order them for my truck. What do you have to do to fix the cruise control problem?

LED taillights will cut off the cruise control when you use your turn signal.... sounds weird I know but I found out first hand! I wouldn't have believed it either. You have to put load resistors on them to fix that.

Where do you put the load resistors? On the taillights or the cruise control?

On the "high" circuit of the turn/stop bulbs, if you look at the taillight bulb holder, you'll have three wires, ground, low, and high. If I remember right the high circuit is the only one that has a stripe, the other two are solid colors. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If there's any doubt just compare the driver's and passenger's side wiring, the ground and low circuit are the same color on both sides, the high circuits are different colors on the different sides. Here's where I mounted mine, sorry no close-ups for wire color.

I've got a pic of the amber, same model bulb in the turns. I think I've got a pic on my cam of the rears, will have to check tomorrow. I took this for comparison, stock on the passenger side, led on the driver side.
