13.5:1 is the best a/f for power.
79 in the 1/8th is around 96 in the 1/4.
9.13 is around 14.1 in the 1/4.
At the max torque point(4267) the a/f was 17.1:1. 3.5 points below optimal for power.
And at 5200 it was 16.10:1 hardly normal. unless burning pistons is normal.
there's 30+hp/tq in the A/F alone.

In Naturally Aspirated engines powered by octane, maximum power is frequently reached at AFRs ranging from 12.5 - 13.3:1 or λ of 0.85 - 0.90.
For gasoline fuel, the stoichiometric air/fuel mixture is approximately 14.7 times the mass of air to fuel. Any mixture less than 14.7 to 1 is considered to be a rich mixture, any more than 14.7 to 1 is a lean mixture - given perfect (ideal) "test" fuel (gasoline consisting of solely n-heptane and iso-octane)
what i am getting at is not a knock of FATHERFORD. 15:1 is certainly ok. but 16:1 - 18:1 was just a hotspot away from a burn exhaust valve. if you guys could have seen the O2 wideband and the stainless mufflers i use, they are burnished from the heat. the SS has broken and brittled from heat.
well it's fixed now. track friday night.

I'm not saying it's the best for power, just saying it's not unherad of in factory vehicles. My old place of business was make a hemi nitrous kit for the trucks. 100% bone stock truck not spraying was doing nearly 16:1 a/f at WOT
