Bed Winch...

I was just comtemplating on getting a bed winch... I've got a flat ramp that is about 3 1/2 feet wide that is rated for about 2000 lbs. I was wondering if I should get an in-bed winch.

Would make loading heavy things a breeze... like cement pillars for example.

(Don't ask where I get this stuff (cement pillars) from.. )

There is a guy around town driving in a huge chevy with one...wonder what he uses it for. Possibly loading a bike? What other things would you use an inbed winch for. You can find a low rated winch for cheap.

There used to be a roll bar with an integrated winch on it, real slick! Haven't seen one advertised lately though. Seems like it was a Superwinch item but not sure.

My old boss made a jet ski loader thing with a winch on it. Hasn't used it in years, but it was pretty cool. He'd set the thing in the truck, plug it into the 12V outlet in the bed, and press the switch. It'd yank the ski off the wheeled stand and up into the truck. I'm sure he still has it somewhere.
