I think it looks a lot cleaner without them, nice. I couldn't stand the chrome step bars on mine and finally took them off and it made a world of difference in the overall look. Your truck should look awesome after you put that 6" Fabtech on and some new wheels/tires!! (just like mine haha)

I wished you lived closer. I'd love to trade for them. I have black smitty bilt on mine and hate them. They hang so low, makes the truck look lower than it is. But I can't imagine not having some kind of step to get in my rig. At least the factory ones are tight against the body and don't hang down.

Also, they help when cleaning the roof of the truck b/c that is far from the ground even for me on the full size.
I have the chrome "tubular" ones on my 02 screw and i use them to clean the roof of my truck when i wash it just really want the real stainless tube steps like go-rhinos

Much better!...I would done the same if mine had them, I've always hated those on any truck. Definetly makes your ride look higher.

Same here .. I guess being the same color as the lower body they have really grown on me and add to the look of the King Ranch, IMO.

That being said - if mine were chrome and black they'd be gone. I really like the FX2s and others who have painted theirs to match the body though!

You did the right thing taking those "old man's" running boards off.

The only running boards that look the part on these trucks is the Ford [DeeZee] Oval ones.

Hmm, I like the rectangular OEM nerf bars and the N-Fabs!

I was bored today..

Personally, I like the factory running boards and am glad I have them. As it
is the wife needs them plus the handles on the windshield pillar to get in!
I see very few around here so apparently not too many come equipped
that way from the factory.

Looks good.

Will have to check out other F-150's now. Mine came with the chrome tubular ones.

Leavin' em on though. Getting old and not so atheletic.
