Calling Josiah...Help Please... LED Mirrors
I have successfully taken my spare mirrors apart to start the led install into the mirrors but I was told my a fellow member that because i don't have the puddle lights I probably won't be able to do it without some modifications..... can you please help me out...
How did you connect the LEDS and to what wires?
I kind of wanted turn signal LEDS and a puddle LED for when the door opens but don't know if that is possible...
Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks

When you take apart the Mirror, you will find a wiring harness. Turn the blinkers on and find which wire is going on and off "hot" using an electrical tester. Tap into that for the LED's. Pull down your headliner and run the hot lead going to your courteosy lights back to your mirrors if you want those. I should have done courtesy lights. One of my LED's went out the other day, pisses me off. It's right in the middle and ruins the look, I wired them perfect, just goes to show.
Yes they should still be there. I say this because if you were to swap your mirrors on ebay with turn signal equipped ones I've read it's plug and play. Unfortunately the courtesy light is not standard, which only comes on the King Ranch.

The King Ranch mirrors (puddle lamp mirrors) were optional on 2007 Lariats and Luxury Package FX4's. It's possible his harness is plug-n-play, but I doubt it without the truck having digital climate controls.
