For those that have modded 04-07's - do you wish you were back to stock?

So, uh, when you gonna start modding?

I still believe the 04+ F150 is the best 3/4 ton truck on the market but I wish I would have left mine stock because I'd like to get rid of it and upgrade to a diesel. But now I'm stuck with it cause there's no way I could get anywhere near what I paid for it now.
Damn dude, you're scaring me. I'm about to drop a chunk of change on my (paid off) F150. Planning on the Rize, 37s, gears, etc. I'll probably build an old scout too sometime soon... Use that for the mudding I don't do on my Quad. I only think I'll use my truck for hunting and whatever most of the time.... Maybe take it to a offroad park once to try it out after I get this lift put on though.

Hey whatever happened to your Hulks anyway?

I am dropping my lifted F150 back to stock this week. The ride is terrible and I have gone through two years of this! There is nothing like a stock suspension. The modifications like exhaust and intake will stay but everything else is going back to stock! I have had this truck lowered also and I enjoyed it a lot more lowered. Although you lose any ability to tow anything of reasonable size except a jet ski.

I'm going to start tearing my truck back down to stock sometime this week. I've been thinkin bout it and even if I spent a couple grand and got new gears, Total Chaos arms and King coilovers, I'd still run into problems with these good for nothing electric locking hubs. Now don't get me wrong, I am to blame for every problem my truck has given me, but these new trucks are not made to run through mud holes in.

Pickin up a white extended cab 77 F250 on 38's with a 351 tomorrow for $3500. Just gonna drive it around like it is for a little while til I can get rid of my F150 and get me a Powerstroke. Then it's goin up about 16 inches with some 52's underneath it.

My advice for any of you guys thinkin' bout liftin your new trucks, don't do it. UNLESS it's gonna stay on the road, which I think is a waste of money also, but at least you won't have to worry bout **** breakin. Sure it looks bad *** and the girls love it, but it's impractical and before you know it you will have up around $10,000 wasted on lifting your truck 8" when you could buy an older truck and put twice as much lift on it for around $5k and not have to worry about it falling apart on you down in the bottoms.

Keep your new trucks looking new, and get you an old truck to beat up and tear up the mud holes in.

I'd imagine it would climb up there pretty fast once the supporting parts are added after going up a few notches in wheel/tire size to go with that lift.

Rize 8" lift $2500
installation ~500
wheels ~$1000
tires ~$1500
regear ~$2000
Total Chaos uca's $750
King coilovers $2500

adds up to about $9000

Add $80 for an alignment after every time you do any tough off roading and another $1500 on tires after about 30,000 miles and you will start realizing you are wasting a **** load of money.

All I am saying is it would make alot more sense to buy an old truck to put some Super Swampers on and just drive it occasionally or when you wanna go muddin. That way your $1500 set of tires will last you a good while and your brand new F150 will last you a good while as well.

Wait for the new IS F. That car will be impressive, 5.0 Liter V8 with 415HP.
