You said you had a mail order tune done the first time. Absolutely, when a tune is completed on a dyno, it's a custom tune.

Check out this thing. Never heard of this before but since you asked about canned tuners here is another option and only $300.

im an edge owner, and ill go out and say you shouldnt get it. since you tow that trailer a lot, your engine will be more stressed on the highway, and wit the edge and my engine under stress on the highway, its drones incredibly bad (lvl2 tow mode). its horrific. even if im not towing, i can just have a bedload of stuff with decent weight and the droning is aawful. before i put the edge on, it didnt drone at all (even with flowmasters + K&N intake).

i think im calling TP this week. im gonna switch and then probably sell the edge.

i will say that the edge did drastically improve throttle response and mid range power, as well as WOT acceleration. i was very impressed. but i do so much highway for ranch trips and hunting, and i just cant take the droning.

So - who's Branspeed? Any affiliation with Bran Flakes?

I heard that , if you eat a LOT of Bran Flakes, it sure does 'speed' things up!

I've heard this from quite a few of the people I've talked to that do alot of towing, which is why I've chosen to stay away from the Edge tuner.

Newb here, from Winnipeg no less. Anyways, if you decide to go with an Xcal2, go see Matt Kozminski at Keystone Ford. They do tuning for Mustangs and Focus's. I don't know about F150's, because the topic hasn't come up, but, I'm sure he could set you up.

Those two criteria should be well down the list; after Quality and Safe & sustainable gains, after-sale customer service, experience, reputation....

Actually, strike that - those two should not even make the list... we are not talking an off-the-rack-one-size-fits-all kinda product, but a crafted one. And true craftmanship should not be rushed, nor is it usually the cheapest.
