New Tow Mirrors on Order

yep, just like it says. i bit the bullet and put my order in for a set of the NEW tow mirrors ford makes for the 07 F150. i spent $35 more than fordparts.com or fastpartsnetwork.com, but i get them on sat and it give my guy in the parts dept at the deal commission for working on sat. i help him, he helps me. they are only $250/ea through him with just tax and no shipping. he is even hooking me up on an OEM keyless keypad for my wifes 07 Expy, why hers didnt come with it, i dont know, but the plug is there in the door. now back to the tow mirrors, all i see now is that i have to move 2 pins to make everything work. i might have to wire the puddle lamp, cant remember if my wireharness has the dome light wire there. i will post pics when i install them on mon. wish me luck......

Are you talking about the OEM/Schefenacker mirrors or something newer?

Pictures of my Schefenacker mirrors:

You have to scroll down a bit.

newer, like the ones in your post you were talking about being "super expensive" they kinda look like the super duty ones.....
after reading more of your post there, they do make one that is just telescoping, no power, heat, or turn, but the funny thing is they cost more than the ones that are loaded with power, heat, and turn.......i love the super duty look.....

Yeah, that's OEM for an XL. It grows on you. If I replaced it to make it cooler I'd have to replace a lot of other parts to get it all to match. It's just a work truck so I don't expect beauty. This is a truck you marry, not date.

Couple of questions for you. Are your OE mirrors the turn/signal heated type like the new ones. If not do you know what will have to be done for the new ones to work. I was thinking about doing the same thing, but mine are not the heated/turn signal mirrors. No switch even. Was just wondering if it was possible to convert to that type. My last truck had them and I liked the heated feature. Unfortunately what you get off the lot is what you see is what you get. Couldn't pass up the deal though.

yes i have everything except the puddle lamp....i forgot to check my harness last time i had my door panel off to see if the wire was there for that. if not, it is just one wire to run right behind the dash so no biggie.....yea if you dont have all that then it would be a booger to wire up, but they do make a set that is just telescoping but they do cost more for some odd reason......i will post part numbers in a few....

Any updates on the mirrors? I almost dropped the ball and bought some today till the guy told me my wiring harness might not hook up at all and that the harnesses probably werent interchangable. Im still looking into this wiring harness crap though, I really want these mirrors and think they would look awesome with the 8" lift coming up, which by the way this place keeps interupting the saving for the lift!!
