Question 37's on a 2005

Ive changed my game plan a little. I need to know if 37/12.50-17's will fit on a 2005 f150 with 3'' lift and 3'' body lift without using a 2'' spacer leveling kit on the front. Also would 4.88's in the front and rear be enough to put a little ways past stock or do i need to go to the next size which i believe is the 5.30 gears. I know everyone is going to say 6'' lift and no body lift but its cheaper this way. Would this setup work? And if anyon has pics of the 04+ f150 crew cabs with 37's, could you please post the pics. Thanks in advance.

Im thinking your not gonna fit. But what 3'' lift are you looking at? Other than skyjacker which Ive not seen anything good about I dont think anyone makes a 3''. If its worth doing its worth doing right, dont take a $20000+ vehicle and trash it with crappy suspension parts.

I know wheel BS and size has a lot to do with it fitting but I dont think it will because with aftermarket wheels you will need almost 8 inch to clear 37. Unless the new wheels are the same size and BS as stock, that would be your best chance of fitting

or maybe ill go with 35 toyo open country mt's instead of the 37 toyo's. I just cant decide. But i dont see the point of paying about $1700 just to lift your truck when I could pay about $700 and do the work myself. The 6'' lift seems like theres more involved and here its like $500 to install. I just dont see the point in it. Ill probably end up going with the 35's but i was just curious about the 37's. Besides i can go through some pretty hairy stuff with 35's anyway and i think i would like the stance better anyway. So i think its gonna be 3'' lift with 3'' body lift and 35/12.50-18 toyo open country mt's.

Ive done the research for fitting the tires on the rims and I need atleast a 8.5'' rim for 35's and i also need 8.5 for 37's.

If you are looking at the Skyjacker 3" lift kit, DON'T buy it.

Do a search and you will find out why.

My truck is what you're looking for pics of. Don't go cheap, you're going to regret it! It's just money, you'll make more. You're going to kiss your fenders goodbye, a simple 6" suspension lift wont even clear 37's, you're going to need to throw a spacer on the front at the least to clear 37's on a 6". You're going to have an ugly rake.

I have a 6" fabtech with coilovers, the coilovers lift the front end up almost 8" without even cranking, and I still rubbed bad in the beginning. In fact I still rubbed but far less after trimming.

I rubbed with 37x13.50s on 20x10 with 4.5" of backspacing with the Rize 8"

I'm pretty sure 4.88s are the biggest you could pair up in our axles. .

Josiah. If you're DLs are giving you 8" of lift than they came cranked 2" plan and simple. If you cranked them anymore than half of inch we both know what would happen to those tie rods, CV angles, and ball joints. Its bad enough with 2" of lift.

PS: Here is a picture of 10" of lift in the front and 8" of lift in the rear. I still need another 2" of lift to level it out though.

its actually a 2.75'' springtech lift kit. And after some thinking and research, ive decided to stay with the 35's and forget the 37's. And the lift should give me all the lift i need cause my friend has a 04 with that lift and his went on fine. ill post pics if i can find any. Looks pretty good. I thought he had the 3'' skyjacker, thats why i wanted it but it was actualy the 2.75 springtech.
