FX4 Question

okay, this may sound like a stupid question, but i figured since forums are all about asking questions, i'll just ask anyways....

I am looking at getting an 04-05 F150 Super crew FX4. My question, is it like any other 4x4 with the sense that you can drive in 2 high, 4 high, 4 low...or can you only drive in 4x4? any 4x4 that I have been in (which hasn't been many) have this option...is the FX4 the same? Reason i'm asking is because I will be doing alot of highway driving and I don't want to be driving in 4x4 all of the time.

Thanks guys

It allows 2hi, 4hi, and 4lo. It is not full time 4wd.

Standard on the reg cab 8' bed, SCAB, and I think SCREW is 27. There is an optional 35 on all except the reg cab 6.5' bed.

My truck FX4 2004 Screw has 30 gal.. I believe with 5.4, you get 30 gal and 37 gal is an option.

27 gallon is the standard one
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...8/pageId=57467

EDIT:
I found this on the Ford website... listing the gas tank details
Fuel tank — 26-gallon (126" WB on Regular Cab and 133" WB on SuperCab)
     Fuel tank — 27-gallon
   Fuel tank — 30-gallon (SuperCrew 5.5' box)
Fuel tank — 35.7-gallon (Regular Cab 8' box and SuperCab 6.5' box)
