i will admit, when i first saw it, i thought you were gonna ruin the look of your truck by putting it on.....however, today i saw a chevy painted all camo with that thing on it and it actually looked good...for a chevy at least.

I dunno. Showing it in Arizona Beige, with the recovery eyes, and winch plate built in, it's kind of growing on me... I don't like the light holes though. I really like my rectangular driving lights... They say they can do custom work. I wonder if they'd do the 2004 - 2005 style driving lights in the bumper...?

I seriously doubt you would be much better off in a real world crash with that bumper than you would be with the stock bumper...because in the end they both bolt to the same flimsey frame ends anyway. It looks like it would make your truck into a battering ram, but really it wont do a lot to stop the momentum of a 6000lb truck.

A guy I know has the ranchhand replacement bumper(similar to road armor durability wise) on an 06 f250. I watched a guy back into him going about 10 miles an hour, would have messed my bumper up, and it didn't even scratch the ranch hand. It completely caved in the guys trunk...

Theres a big difference between somebody backing into you at 10mph and a t-bone crash at speed like in the post I was referring to. Besides that if you want to push the point let me play devil's advocate and say I am sure this type of bumper would also effect the sensetivity of the air bad sensors mounted at the front of the truck causing them not to deploy as designed from the factory...there for it could be argued that this bumper has a negative effect on saftey.
