Power sliding window getting jamed or stuck?

I drive an 05 screw lariat and I was wondering if anyone has had trouble with there back power sliding window getting stuck. Mine is not working and I was wondering if I could fix it or does it have to go to the dealership?

I had the same problem for months on end shortly after purchasing my '05 Lariat Screw. It never bothered me for that long because I never used the window, but I thought I may as well get it checked out.

My service guy told me they've had more '05 F150's return for that problem than any other electrical issue.

They replaced mine under warranty with a new batch of power sliding window motors that Ford updated in early 2006.

It's been close to six months or so now since they installed a new motor with no issues whatsoever.

Take it in.

I had the same problem in my '04 SC Lariat. I had the dealership replace the motor in '05. It still sticks at times, but not enough to really bother me.

No problems with the original slider.

My rear window in my '04 occasionally gets stuck closed. When I start up the truck and go to open the window, it wont open. However, if I wait a minute or two and try again, it usually works. I can never get it to "not work on command", so the dealer will never fix it.

TSB is on those older ones... just tell them to replace your damn motor because it's an intermittent thing and they should replace the damn thing...

or bring it to me up here in PA and I'll replace it as long as you're under your warranty.

I had the same problem. It would work sometimes and other times it wouldn't. Then it stopped all together about 2 mos ago. I took the rear seat back off and tapped the motor with a screwdriver and worked fine ever since. FYI-New motor is $168.
