Which Bilsteins do I need?
Which bilsteins do I need for those extra 2" of lift, its going on top of my suspension lift, if that has anything to do with it. Thump I believe you have them? Also I was quoted $455 for them front and back, Should I just buy them here or are they cheaper over the net? And if so where?
FX4REACTION1... if you're adding Bilsteins to a front 6" spacer lift then you need the front shocks in the link gilsnuxs posted. I assume you already have some type of lift in the rear, so the rear shocks in that link will not be long enough. They are for a stock height rear suspension.

The 5100s are what you need for the front. The 5150s come with the Rize as a option.

Okay if you're going to be using the spacer plus the shocks than you need the Bilstein 5100s for stock height trucks. The rear is up to you, I don't know how big of a block the CST comes with? The Rize comes with a 6" block and I need 4" in springs to make it level. Deaver makes a 4" leaf pack for $530. The shocks you'll need to find out how long you'll need them but its probally going to be like 17 compressed and 23 extended. I could be wrong though, probally am.

The Bilstein 5150s that come with the Rize 8" are 22.5" ext. length and 14.17 col length. So for another 4" of lift you'd probally need to get the Bilstein 5150s that are 25.91 ext. length and 15.89 col length since they don't offer anything with the valving you'd need in a better size. This is what you'll need IMO. I have the stock Bilstein 5150s with a 2" Deaver add-a-leaf with no ride problems or shock problems so.
Get a 14 inch travel shock and you will be fine I went with a 12 inch (32-33 extended) and it was a little (like and inch inch and a half) longer then I needed so a 35-36 inch extended shock sould work fine assuming you wil only be like 3-4 inches taller then me in the back.

Honestly you need to get the springs on and see what length shocks you need. I'm not sure any of the Bilstein 5150's are long enough for your application.
Like I said. The ProComp lift provides 3" of lift in the rear and it comes with 30.5" shocks. You're going to need about 8" of rear lift to level the truck out if you put 10" in the front. So 8" of rear lift is 5" more than 3" of rear lift, but you can't just figure that you need shocks 5" longer. The rear shocks are mounted diagonally, so every 1" you increase in rear ride height you need a little more than 1" in shock length. Remember Pythagoras Theorem? The longest line in a triangle is the diagonal line... the shocks.
But even if you did just figure inch for inch you would need 5" longer than the ProComp lift which would be 35.5. Factor in that the ProComp shocks slightly limit the downward travel of the rear suspension and then Pythagoras Theorem and I'm going to guess that you'll need a shock about 36-37" long fully extended.
The shock mounting location Ford uses on the F-150 is a great design. They're so far outboard that they see a lot more travel than shocks that are mounted closer to the center of the axle. Because of this they have to be longer than most other trucks too, so when you start putting 10" of lift on these trucks you run out of options for rear shocks.
Kings, Bilsteins, Fox, Sway-A-Way, etc... they're the best in the business and you can't go wrong with any of them, but any monotube or reservoir shock will be fine.
