They have been on my truck for over two years...
Yeah I used a couple of trucks (i.e. your's & GunnerB's) in deciding to go ahead and get them added. So how long after painting did you wait before hitting your flares with a coat of wax? I'm detailing my truck today, but will be taping off my flares since they just got painted this past Tuesday.

If they weren't put in a oven than I'd wait at least 90 days or longer. Which I don't think they were . .

I must be the only person who likes them in matte black on a black truck. To me they're there to serve a purpose and since my work is on a gravel road that was my solution and I'd be pretty mad if I chipped my painted flares. The flares to me make the truck look tougher and by painting them it kind of diminishes that look and makes them pretty. You'll know what I mean the first time one of those flares gets scratched up.

If my truck went offroad I probably wouldn't have painted them, but I don't take mine offroad. Since I switched my handles from the matte black to the LT handles I thought the flares would match the truck better if they were painted.
