tailgate

does anyone know if you could put the new tailgate off of a 08 on a 05

yah thats an 08 SD feature.

I know the new SD lights fit on the old SD trucks

Our bed rails are higher, so no it won't fit, you lazy bum.

You're trying to mix an apple and an orange

The '08 Super Duty's have the tailgate with the step and that old-man looking cane. Won't fit on an F-150, completely different body.

I like the collapsible gate extender and would like to see it in the next F150.

To the original poster. Since it is not possible to adapt the F250 tailgate to the F150 maybe this could be a solution. Its made by Amp Research.



Its manually operated with your foot, made from aluminum, and can handle 300lbs.
