Question Adjustable Bilstein ?'s

I just bought the set of BIlsteins from www.topguncustomz.com and

yesterday I dropped my truck off at the local BrakeCheck for them to install

the fronts for me ( I had a Procomp urethane spacer). I have never dealt

with coil overs so I didnt want to get into something that I had no idea on

what i was doing. Anyways, after about 5hrs, they call me and tell me it is

ready. After picking it up, I realized that I did not get my spacer back so I

go back by and they tell me that they installed the new shocks with the

spacer. I explained to them that these shocks were to eliminate the need for

that spacer. They tell me to bring it back and they will do it over. I drop it

back off again today and they call me shortly after stating that these shocks

are the same length as the stockers, so therefore they will not acheive any

sort of lift without the spacer being included.

Now, are they full of crap or am I just completely wrong. Tried explaining to

them that the ring needs to be in the top indention for it to eliminate the

spacer. They said that if they did that, it would actually compress the spring

which will roughen the ride and actually lower the vehicle rather than raising it.

First and foremost, make sure you received the correct Bilstein Shocks. If you did, you should have received instructions on how to adjust the shock for up to 2" lift. If not, download the instructions from their website, take it to the shop and tell them if they can't follow these instructions, you'll need a full refund and take the truck elsewhere. If they balk, then you can decide on where to go from there.

The fact that they stated they could install the shocks on your truck, corretly per the manufacturer, then they're bound to it.

The fact that they're claiming the shock will have the opposite effect of what it was designed to do tells me their incompetent and i'd rather them not work on any part of my truck, much less the suspension.

Good luck

Im not to sure that I ones I recieved had installation instructions. Boxes were preety beat up. I'm almost positive they didnt, that's why I

didnt want to get into something that I didnt have a clue on. Also, couldnt find installation instructions on their website (Bilstein).

EDIT: Main question is "Does the spacer have to be used with the adjustable Bilsteins?" TIA

Just got my truck back and after further inspection, I have part # BE5-C293-TO for the fronts and BE5-C294-TO for the rears. Are these the right part #'s?

Yeah, I saw that as well. Just got off the phone with www.topguncustomz.com, and they assured me that they were the right part #. Guess I will just have to man up and try it myself this weekend.

Yeah, they have the two grooves where there they seem to be adjustable from 0"-2". I just dont know if the guys at BrackeCheck are full of crap or if i recieved the wrong shocks. I remember in another thread that Thumper showed a pic of his with a different part # on them. Maybe he will chime in on this. Or anyone one else with these Bilsteins who have ordered from TopGun. Thanks for the help guys
