The reflector in the Hellas is physically different than the OEM.

The optics and reflector is flat and doesn't have the offset notch in it like the OEM ones.

This allows for a sharper cut off.

Also the lense is treated with an anti glare film that filters wasted light AKA(glare).

No problem let me explain.

Headlights housing = Hella
Light bulb = 6000K HID

I had issues with my STOCK/OEM headlight housing giving off crazy amounts of glare with the HID bulb because it is ONLY made for filament style bulbs.

I switched to the Hella headlights housing then they don't give off glare because they are made different than the OEM. Thus, no more GLARE issues.

Make sense?

Are you going to install HID in your Halos?? I'd be EXTREMELY interested in seeing how it works out...

No no... RP is NOT making fun of you!

He has been wanting to see this setup for a while. He has the same headlight housing (halo eyes) and wants to see if HID lights will work in them with a GOOD cutoff. No glare! Like the Hellas I have.

Anyone got that setup?

It would be ideal to try, as the OEM headlight housings are NOT good for HID lights due to the poor cut off and glare.

Well ty again for being so nice to explain things. You'd think as a moderator and senior member he'd give good advice or help people avoid problems like i might have instead of makeing stupid comments. i checked his pics btw and he doesnt have projector headlights on either of them 2 trucks. Why doesnt he break down and go for it instead of waiting for us to sink our cash into it..put up..and S.U. Now i really dont know what to do with all these mixed reply's..I might as well stick to my projectors and silverstars. ty anyways..your a good man and very helpful.

Im lookin into buying a set and in the advertizement it says
-Stylish blackout look
-matte black housing
-carbon fiber insert
-bulb not included
-plug n play

then it says- "choose the option of Matte black or Carbon fiber insert to add a new look"..im confused. which ones do you have and did you have to be specific to which kind you wanted? Thank you again

I am not sure why they give you that "option". The ones I got where the carbon fiber insert. I was told by hella that is the ONLY way they come.

OK Thank you again, i wasnt sure what that meant. By the Way!! ThumperMX113 said and i Quote-"The Hellas have been recalled, good luck finding a set". I wonder whats wrong with them and if should get a set or not now..Are they really recalled? Did you hear about it? if not maybe you should look into it and let us all know..thanks again
